Dragons are large Reptile-like creatures.  They are fantasy creatures that most people don't believe in, but in some cultures, people do believe they exist. Dragon lore comes from many different cultures. In China the dragon is one of the star signs. Dragons are usually associated with knights and medieval times. The Physical characteristics of dragons also vary. Dragons are typically depicted as huge lizards, larger than elephants. With long fangs and horns of varying length. Western cultures generally include large bat-like wings giving the dragon the capability to fly. But eastern dragons tend to be more snake-like with front and rear legs. Most dragons will be covered in scales, although there are some with a leathery skin.  It is generally accepted that dragons are magical creatures and have the ability to breathe fire. Dragons are an important part of many Chinese festivals, including Chinese New Year. In ancient China, dragons did not breathe fire. Dragons were wise and caring. They were guardians of the earth.
